Mrs. Colorado 2017
I’m a daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter, friend, realtor, wife and mother - that’s a lot of titles for one person! After life as a “baseball wife” and after having three children in just over two years, I found myself looking for… well, myself. I love my husband, my kids, and my life, but I wanted to rediscover the woman I knew was just under the “wife/mom” surface.
This pageant has been a journey like no other. As a woman and wife with a full-time job (not to mention three children under the age of 7!), pageant life seemed like a distant dream. As much as I wanted to compete and represent working moms everywhere, it just didn’t seem feasible. But as all moms do, you make time for the things that matter. Competing in Mrs. Colorado was not only manageable, but fulfilling beyond what I had dared dream possible. To meet and befriend the women I have stood on stage with has been its own special reward. These are the women who get me, and I get them! Pageant sisters truly form special bonds – I’ve made lifelong friendships because of Mrs. Colorado. If you don’t think you can do it, believe me, YOU CAN!
Some fun facts about me… I’m originally from California, but have lived in many different states. I’m a sports fanatic (I live for hockey and baseball!), and I love to be outside soaking up Colorado’s 300 days of sunshine whenever possible. Spending time with my family is my favorite thing to do – if I get to do that at the beach or on a trip to a Disney park, even better! Working in and bettering my community is also of the utmost importance to me, and my time spent volunteering with the Springs Rescue Mission and the Alzheimer’s Association: Colorado Chapter is time I treasure. It’s a true honor to represent Colorado and my adopted state.
